Outline of Armoring design and installation
The passenger cell is like a secure cocoon, armoured at all perimeters offering protection from all angles.
ROOF: The roof is protected against ballistic and explosive threats.
Enhanced Blast protection: is offered and recommended in areas with IED threats.
Enhanced Floor Protection: Is offered and recommended in areas with IED threats.
ENGINE BAY
FIRE WALL: The separation between engine and passenger compartment is fully protected.
FENDERS:The sides of the engine compartment is ballistic protected.
ENGINE MANAGEMENT: protected by ballistic steel.
A/C DUCTS: protected against direct hits.
RADIATOR PROTECTION: is offered as an option
TRANSPARENT ARMOUR
BALLISTIC GLASS:
All transparencies are certified
WINDSCREEN FRAME: tested against blast and ballistic threats
GLASS ANCHORING: for enhanced blast survivability
OVERLAPING ARMOUR around all glass and door apertures with splash guards to prevent penetrations into the cabin from direct or angled strikes and ricochets.
DOORS
The ballistic steel is integrated in the doors to offer complete overlap protection.
HEAVY DUTY HINGES: Welded directly to the ballistic steel on A and B Pillar reinforcement.
PILLAR REINFORCEMENT:preserving original door alignment and avoid "sacking" of the doors.
FUEL TANKS – full ballistic protection of the fuel tank/s
REINFORCED BUMPER: Heavy Duty reinforcement behind OEM bumper allowing emergency ramming.
SUSPENSION COMPONENT REINFORCEMENTS: springs - shock absorbers –sway bar upgraded to match the weight ratio.
WHEELS
RIMS – HD Steel Rims
TIRES - To match increased weight ratio
RUN FLAT INSERTS - rated to 50 km at 50 km/h
BRAKES :
ROTORS - slotted high performance rotors
BRAKE FLUID - HD with higher boiling point
BATTERIES - BRAKE BOOSTERS ballistic protected
