In October we received an 18-unit order of armored Jeep Cherokees for immediate delivery in Iraq. These 18 units had to be shipped by airfreight directly to Baghdad.
10 units from our stock location in Denmark were airlifted in a full charter Airbus flight to Baghdad on Nov. 3rd. The operation went smoothly and all vehicles arrived in perfect shape at the airport in Baghdad. In coordination with our partner in Baghdad, we arranged for local delivery to the customer in Iraq.
An additional 8 units, from our stock location in Pristina, Kosovo, were airlifted in a full charter IL 76 flight directly from Pristina to Baghdad on Nov. 10th - this operation was also executed to everybody's full satisfaction.
Preparing such orders places huge demands on logistics staff, as with meticulous attention to detail is required. Everything must be fully prepared prior to loading the aircraft, including export documents, local handling at the airport of departure, landing permits, etc.
During the war in Iraq we have arranged numerous full charters from our various stock locations to Baghdad, both directly and via Jordan. These transports have been a challenge to our logistics department, but highly rewarding tasks as well.
Over the years we have gained very solid expertise and knowledge in this area, enabling us to supply optimum transport solutions to critical areas. Our unrivalled capacity for swift delivery is of course also based on our close cooperation with our suppliers who can provide planes immediately upon request.
